Day - 1: Arrive Bangalore & Drive To Coorg ( 06 Hrs )
On Arrival at Bangalore, Our tour executive recieved you and further transfer to the hotel. Check in to the hotel. Half day sightseeing in Coorg including Coorg visiting Madikeri Fort, Raja Seat. At Raja Seat enjoy the spectacular sunset which will refresh one’s mind. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 : Coorg Local Sightseeing - Talakaveri, Madikeri Fort,Abbey falls, Omkareshwar temple,Raja's seat
This morning after having your breakfast, we start for the local sightseeing : 1)Talakaveri is the source of the river Kaveri, located on the Brahmagiri hill. Kodavas erected a tank which is now considered as its origin. The place has a temple dedicated to the Goddess Kaveriamma is located next to the tank and bathing in it on special occasions is considered holy. 2)Bhagamandala is a pilgrimage site situated in the scenic foothills of Talacauvery, the source and origin of the River Kaveri, which is often referred to as 'Dakshin Ganga' which means 'Ganga of the South' and is one of the seven sacred rivers of the country. 3)Omkareshwara Temple : Depicting both Islamic and Gothic architecture, this temple was built in 1820,dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple has beautiful architecture and has been built in the Muhammadan style of architecture. The Omkareshwara Temple was constructed by King Lingarajendra II in the 18th century. Legend has it that the temple was built by the king as a form of penance. 4)The Madikeri Fort is situated in the centre of the Madikeri town.The elevated structure of this majestic fort offers undoubtedly breathtaking and beautiful panoramic views of the town. This ancient fort was first constructed in the latter half of the 17th century by Muddu Raja, the ruler at the time, on the occasion of declaring Madikeri as the new capital of Coorg.The possession of this fort passed through various hands after it was captured by Tipu Sultan. 5)Abbey Falls, also known as Abbi Falls, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in and around Coorg. The water cascade coming down from the cliff from a height of 70 feet provides a spectacular scene to behold. There is an over-bridge that hangs opposite of the falls, from where the most picturesque scene of white foams gushing down the ridge can be seen, captured and remembered. The flow of the falls leaves a significant amount of water spray on those who stand on the bridge for some time. 6)The Raja's Seat Garden is known for its beautiful seasonal bloom, panoramic view and picturesque location making it an apt attraction for Nature Lovers.The garden was a favorite venue to rejuvenate for the Kings of Kodagu, and they loved watching the sunsets sitting here with their Queens. The garden has beautiful flowering plants and skilfully designed artificial fountains. Today, this place is managed by the Archaeological Survey of India and is considered of historical importance. Evening return back to hotel. Overnight stay at Coorg.
Day - 3 : Coorg Local Sightseeing - Iruppu Falls – Nagarhole
Today after breakfast, we proceed for sightseeing of Iruppu falls and Nagarhole National Park. 1) Iruppu falls is a picturesque waterfall cascading along the Brahmagiri Mountain Range in the Coorg district. Also known as the Lakshmana Tirtha Falls, which is a name derived from the tributary of Cauvery River. En route to the magnificent falls stands the famous Shiva temple Rameshwara along the banks of the river. Both the river stream and the temple have folklore behind their existences which have roots in the story of the epic Ramayana. The best time to visit the falls is during the monsoons when they are at their full capacity and hence become a breathtaking sight to behold. 2) Nagarhole National Park boasts of rich wildlife including both flora and fauna.Its located in the Mysore district of Karnataka. A variety of species such as Elephants, Jackals, Tigers, Panthers, Gaurs, Sambars, Spotted Deers, Mongoose, Civet cats, Hyenas, Sloth Bears and over 250 species of birds call this place their home. The park is bounded by Kabini River on the north. Nagarhole National Park is also home to a number of reptiles such as King Cobra, Krait, Indian Rock Python, Russel's Viper, vine snake, Tortoise, Monitor Lizard and Toads. In addition to these, trees such as sandalwood, silver oak, rosewood and teak are found in abundance here. Evening return back to Hotel. Overnight stay at Coorg.
Day - 4 : Coorg Hotel To Bangalore Drop ( 06 Hrs )
After breakfast, we checkout from the hotel and proceed for Bangalore by road. On arrival, you will be transferred to the airport/railway station to board the flight/Train back home. Tour Ends With Happy Memories
